News and Updates

February 13, 2019:

Work continues on the NATTC section of the webpage. Progress has slowed a bit due to researching a lead I discovered. The lead has resulted in new data that is being processed and prepared for the website. I've added the CONTACT US page finally, although only a simple version. I will improve upon that in due course as needed. Feel free to contact, share your stories and especially digital copies of anything you wish to add to the growing historic collection. Do take note though, because this website is still in its early stages I might have some stuff already. Even the NATTC section is only partially completed. I have yet to add photos, post war everything and especially the TIME LINE. As stated earlier I will expand upon the website's commentary once it's up and running. These kinds of projects have the tendency to always be "works in progress"! BTW I might add this; there could be many spelling erros, grammar errors, etc. I don't have my spell checker operating on my html editor and I haven't spent much time going back over things. So should you see such an error take a moment and email me.

It's been awhile since I updated the NEWS webpage. But a lot of material has been added to the NATTC section and several sub categories have been expanded and filled out. I'm guessing I have about 60%-70% of the material posted there already. More is coming. You will notice there isn't much commentary. That will be added after I process and post the material I have for each section of the website. There is one sub category, the NATTC TIMELINE, that will require much more time. In fact a lot more. I underestimated the time required to compile these weekly facts. But it's worth the wait. Upon completion it will be the cornerstone of this website. The look and feel of the website will continue to change over time. The ultimate goal is the easy flow of information to the reader.

Work continues on the NATTC section of the website. Many subdivisions have been added, although only partially populated with information. The TIMELINE catagory is proving to be much larger than I anticipated. That's a good thing, but will take time. Again, lots has been added but more is coming. I add information to the website with the ultimate goal of natural flow and easy reading. Just note that as I build out the website each subdivision itself will frequently be further subdivided.

January 6, 2019:

The website is starting to take shape somewhat now. The focus is still on NATTC and will be for some time to come. I've added We Keep 'Em Flying, On The Beach In Oklahoma, Timeline 1943 Jan-Mar and 1943 Letters and Postcards. Work is progressing fast on All Hands, it's coming soon. The NATTC home page will continue to evolve as there are a few other subcatagories I'll be adding and some icons will be improved for aesthetics. For the time-being I will refrain from adding commentary or exploratory subject matter, although that is coming. Much has been added but you are still only seeing a small fraction of what's coming so check back soon!

To expedite website implementation I'm going to keep this section simple, just basic text updates. I will first focus on the subcatagory NATTC since that was the largest naval activity by far. Once completed I will build out the other sucatagories using the same structure. This is going to be a very big website and will require some time to complete. Even then new things are always being discovered and will be added as well. Another high priority for this website will be implementing the CONTAC US page. It is hoped that when this website is up and running that people might donate digital copies of their own stuff, photos and documents etc. By bringing as much information under one roof as possible history can come alive like never before.
